To spread the original, universal and eternal truth, path or law of yoga, which remains forever the same in essence, yet always adapts to the time and place. |
Harish Johari was a successful author, a gifted painter and sculptor, a lifetime scholar, an inspiring teacher, a splendid cook, an ayurvedic massage miracle, a wonderful chanter of mantras and a unique composer of indian music. He is our inspiration for the entire sanatan society project (see related article) and the painting tradition that is predominant here, which is justly named the Harish Johari Painting Tradition.
Harish Johari left his body on the 20th of august 1999. His last work was the complete revision and expansion of the famous Chakra Book.
The Yoga Journal named him Ayurveda's Renaissance Man. Through the following topics you can see why :

On the origin of Sanatan Society
Sanatan Society is an international networking association of students of the late Harish Johari, joining efforts to promote his teachings of yoga philosophy, tantra, worship, art and love. Sanatan Society stands for the original, universal and eternal truth, path or law of yoga. Though it is Hindu in origin, Sanatan Society is not limited to any religion, race, time or country, nor in fact to any particular organisation. More about Sanatan Society...
